A recipe book, four generations, and a lot of love.

Annie's great-grandmother made candy by hand in the late 1800s, filling a leather book with recipes written in careful cursive: smoothies, caramels, brittles, and creams.

That book was passed down, generation to generation, until it reached Annie. In 1996 she opened it at her kitchen table in London, Ontario, and made the first batch of smoothies, soft hand-finished centres in Dutch chocolate. They tasted exactly like her childhood.

Friends asked for more. Then friends of friends. What started as a way to bring people together grew, first into farmers' markets, then a small shop, and today into two London locations and a 10,000 square foot kitchen where we still make everything by hand.

We have added our own chapters to the book along the way, the chocolate dipped butter tart and the maple sea salt caramel among them, but the heart of it never changed. Real ingredients, small batches, made for people we think of as family.
